“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” – Anne Frank

Central to Rotary’s work is its quest to promote the goodwill and understanding essential for world peace.  Rotary International and the Rotary Foundation do this through its Group Study Exchange Program, Vocational Technical Teams, projects funded with international service grants, and peace forums.  Our District does this by hosting Group Study Exchange Teams, bringing together Youth Exchange students, and serving as local mentors for Ambassadorial Scholars.  Our clubs do this by hosting youth exchange students, inviting international visitors to their clubs, working with clubs in other countries on humanitarian service projects, and learning about world issues through club presentations.  Our members do this by visiting other clubs while travelling abroad, meeting other Rotarians through one-on-one Friendship Exchange Programs.

To observe this designated month, many clubs arrange international speakers, invite youth exchange students and international scholars from schools and universities to club meetings, plan programs featuring former Group Study Exchange team members, arrange discussions on international issues, present entertainment with an international cultural or artistic theme and schedule other programs with an international emphasis.
